I haven’t drawn forever. I drew a beast, but didn’t like it, and I haven’t redrawn/drawn another one. I need a brofist. Knuckle me bro.
The creature has taken a liking to bigger prey, and sometimes, these bigger creatures are too much. The creature eventually evolved to becoming more mobile, in a sense that it uses its tripod legs to swim, well, more like bob through the water until its poison tentacled arms could hit a target. When it finds a bigger prey, it’s mouth has grown small teeth and lip-appendages to help it attach itself to the prey. It helps clamp down on smaller and more agile prey as well. It’s eyeballs have developed further to have slit eyeballs for depth perception. Since it can’t really swim after faster prey, it stalks most of its prey to be poisoned, or stalk it until it dies from the poison. Its hide has grown thick and almost rubbery since it takes a lot of beating while attached to other animals.
Our lovely creature has planted itself. With little food to scavenge on forest floors, its eyes has dwindled to two for depth perception and a better way to catch movement. It has become an opportunist. Its mobility is limited, but mostly uses its legs to latch on to the sand and rocks. It’s two other appendages can shoot, at dizzying speeds, and at different directions to catch and wrap up smaller creatures. Its mouth also has become more developed.
This underwater slug is very much like ours. It has weird near transulcent rhinophores that grow from wounded areas from its bodies, possibly parts that are completely detached become fully independent creatures themselves. The dots surrounding it are actually eyes that detect light, mostly because it feeds on creatures that may depend on it. The markings are camouflage because it dwells mostly on the sandy surfaces.
This is pretty much inspired by Dahm and Ota’s Exquisite Beast tumblr!
